The tour starts with a visit to the St. George Cathedral which together with the ensemble of the historic centre was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Combining Baroque and Rococo styles, it is one of the most beautiful 18th century sacral buildings in the city. Today, the church is a very important religious place for Ukrainian people where wonder-working icons and holy relics are stored. It will definitely leave an impression on you.
Our next stop will be the High Castle Hill which is the highest point in Lviv (reaching 414 m above sea level), once a place where the fortress commissioned by King Daniel of Halych situated. You will be able to see the whole city from up there as well as to find out history of the castle and listen to many interesting stories and legends.
The last highlight of the tour is the Lychakiv Necropolis which is an open air museum of a monumental sculpture that is situated not far from the city centre and impresses with the large number of elaborate gravestones and chapels where the most affluent and famous people of Galicia were buried.
